I was talking with people at practice about hair dye, and I’m now fairly convinced that I’m going to do red for Halloween. I’m going to be Pippi Longstocking, after all.

Really, it’s all because I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and then I had to look and see what hair dye I had left, and now I just keep thinking about it…

People keep telling how nice my hair is now though.

I’m not going to bleach it out first. It won’t be a bright red. Maybe I won’t leave the color in super long. It’ll fade out.

Maybe I’ll get a box of dye that corresponds to the current coloring of my hair.

But we all know that it’s near impossible to return hair to a previous state once you start messing with it. And I don’t want to have roots and faded red hair, ’cause that’s tacky.

So how do you avoid roots… By streaks. If it’s uneven to begin with, then when it grows out it’s still uneven.

Hmmm….
