In the last week:
1) Got acceptance letter to grad school.
2) Got Chinese visa
3) Did taxes & FAFSA

On the horizon
1) Sat: annual fundraising auction
2) Finish 20 page research paper on water pollution in China
3) Learn as much Mandarin as possible
4) Early April – move to Beijing for two months
5) July 4th – 3 day Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival
6) Late July? Early August? Go to Alaska for 1-2 months
7) Mid-Sept – Start grad school

But more importantly, I took my kitty for a walk today and we circumnavigated two buildings in my apartment complex. Usually we don’t go more than two to three yards away from the comforting walls of the building we came out of, but today, apparently, she was feeling extra adventurous.

Also, people look at you with an especial sort of bemusement when it becomes clear that you are outside with a cat on a leash.
